How Many Students Appeared for UPSC 2023 Exam?

According to an exclusive report from the esteemed news agency IANS, the recently conducted preliminary examination garnered significant attention as an astonishing 43 percent of candidates made the decision to abstain from the exam. Out of the total 40,018 candidates slated to appear, a mere 57.10 percent mustered the courage to participate in this crucial examination. During the morning shift, 23,123 aspirants (equivalent to 57.78 percent) bravely took their seats, while a staggering 16,895 candidates opted to sit this one out. Similarly, in the second shift, 22,851 determined candidates (accounting for 57.10 percent) showed up for the exam, while 17,167 individuals chose not to partake.
