2. (a) Calculate the apparent depth of a black point lying below a cubical and transparent glass slab of side 4cm .where refractive index of glass is 1.6 {2}
(b) The focal length of a convex lens is 20cm Calculate its power. {2}
(c) The current flowing through a conductor in an electrical circuit is 10ampere.Calculate the number of electron passing through it per second. The charge on an electron is 1.6*10^-19 coulomb. {2}
3. (a) A convex mirror of radius of curvature 6m is attached to an auto vehicle to see other vehicles coming from behind . At any time if a vehicle is 6m from the mirror , calculate the location and size of its image formed by the mirror.

A person suffering from short-sightedness can see up to 10m . Calculate the nature ,focal length and power of the lens in order to correct the vision. {4}
(b) An electric appliance is labelled with 2.3kilowatt and 230 volt . If it runs with its full capacity , calculate the electrical current flowing through it. Calculate the resistance of the appliance. If it runs fore 10hr how much energy is consumed by it in KWH.

The resistance of an iron wire of length L1 and of cross section area A1 is 5 ohms . If its length is double keeping its temperature as well as volume unchanged. calculate the resistance of the new wire . {4}
4. The resistance in the given electrical circuit are as following R1=R2=R3=30 ohms; R4=10 ohms and R5=R6=40 ohms. The voltage of battery is 16volt with zero internal resistance . calculate the electrical; current I1,I2,I3,I4,I5 and I6 flowing through resistance R1,R2,R3,R4,R5 and R6 respectively . Also calculate the respective potential difference V1,V2,V3,V4,V5 and V6 across the terminal of these resistance .and also calculate the total current flowing through the circuit. {7}
